Life With Alpacas Those first alpacas came off the trailer about
15 minutes after the fencing for their pasture was finished.
Kristin, Skipper, Indy and Rosalia walked into the pasture and Polly
and Ken wondered what they had done. Fast forward, Finger
Lakes Alpacas is now home to a diverse herd of 50+ happy Huacaya
alpacas, a thriving business and a wonderful lifestyle. Polly and
Ken have grown with their
business and are happier for it. Ken retired from NYS Department of
Corrections (face it, Polly left power suits and pumps in 1999) and
they’ve never looked back. Lessons we can learn from FLA crias...
- Playing is very good
- A girl can be "king" of the hill
- There's nothing like a good romp in the pasture
- Take that leap!!
- Life is great at Finger Lakes Alpacas.
Schedule a visit. Come by, stroll
through the pastures, visit with the crias and their parents. Have a glass of lemonade or cup of tea. Remember,
it's good to take that leap into alpacas.
